銀河鉄道999 シネマ・コンサート 特別追悼公演〜松本零士さんを偲んで〜に、元・マネージャー井上氏と行って来ました。
たまたまプレイガイドで本公演を知り、そう言えば井上氏、松本零士先生の作品好きだったから一緒に行くかな？と、声を掛けてみると是非との事だったので、東京国際フォーラムで待ち合わせして観に行くことに。
シネマ・コンサートとは、映画のセリフや効果音はそのままに、音楽パートをフル・オーケストラが映画音楽全編上映に合わせて生演奏するもので、映画をlive感覚で楽しめるエンターテイメントとの事なのでどんな感じかな？と、期待と不安でいっぱいでしたが、最終的には…最高でした。
今回の追悼公演は、銀河鉄道999劇場版第1作を上映だったのですが、過去には2作品一挙2上映もあったみたいで…もっと早く知って観に行きたかったと後悔しました。
音楽演奏が全編フル・オーケストラなので、しばしばセリフが聴き取れないという難点もありましたが、過去に何度も観てる作品なのでセリフは何となくわかるので自分はそこまで気にはなりませんでしたが、もし初見で行くとなるとちょっと気になる可能性もありますが、フル・オーケストラの破壊力が凄すぎて個人的には全て吹き飛びました。
もうね、フル・オーケストラの迫力と物語の内容、そして子供の頃には気にも留めなかったセリフの一つ一つに最後は涙腺崩壊でした。
場内アナウンスを鉄郎とメーテルが担当し、オーケストラは東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団、劇中歌を小比木麻里さん、そしてスペシャル・ゲストでゴダイゴのタケカワユキヒデさんがエンディングテーマを歌いと、豪華でした。
「『限りある命だからこそ頑張り、歯を食いしばって、成し遂げるぞという強い 志を持ち 続けよう』というのがメッセージです。１つの私の思いの物語は、まだ終着駅には着きません。始発駅に戻ることもない。『999』同様、私の旅にも終わりはないのです」と、生前語った松本零士先生。

心洗われる良い時間でした。

I went to “The Galaxy Express 999 Cinema Concert -memorial concert- In Memory of Leiji Matsumoto” with our former manager, Mr. Inoue.
I found out about this event by chance on a ticket agency website, and I thought: “Mr. Inoue likes Leiji Matsumoto’s works, why not going together?”, I invited him and he was like “Of course!”, so we decided to meet up at Tokyo International Forum to go watch it.
A cinema concert is a form of entertainment that allows you to enjoy a movie with a live show feeling, with a philharmonic orchestra playing the music live all the movie long while leaving the dialogues and sound effects untouched. I was filled with both excitement and anxiety thinking about how it was going to be, but in the end... it was great.
This memorial concert was a screening of the first of the Galaxy Express 999 movies, but I heard that there have been also two screenings of two movies at once in the past... I wish I had known about it earlier to go to see it.
There’s the knotty point of being unable to hear the dialogues as there is a whole orchestra playing along all the time and, although it didn’t bother me too much since it’s a movie I have seen many times in the past and I kinda know the lines, it may be a little bit problematic if you are watching it for the first time. However, I was totally overwhelmed by the powerfulness of the orchestra.
The energy of the philharmonic orchestra, the story itself, each one of the lines I never paid attention to back when I was a child... all that together brought me to tears at the end.
It had a gorgeous lineup, with Tetsuro and Maetel in charge of the venue announcements, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Mari Obiki for the insert song, and Yukihide Takekawa of Godaigo as a special guest singing the ending theme.
“The message is, ‘Let's keep on the strong will of archiving something, giving our best, gritting our teeth, because this life is finite’. The story of one of my thoughts has yet to reach its terminus. Nor will it return to the starting station. Like "999", my journey will never end," said Leiji Matsumoto sensei when he was still alive.

As one journey ends, a new one is about to begin.
It was a good time that made me feel refreshed.
